Marissa enjoys offering yoga to help you to achieve greater comfort within the body and mind.

 

Her gentle classes are a well-rounded blend of strength, release, opening, balance and rest, in order to promote healthy posture, ease of movement, easier circulation and energetic flow.  A believer in the importance of soothing the nervous system, all of her classes include a deep restful savasana.

 

Marissa is also a massage therapist with a special interest in pregnancy, post-natal and women’s health. She brings her love for anatomy as well as yoga, Ayurveda and traditional Chinese philosophy to her classes.  She designs the day’s practice with the aim of assisting people to enjoy moving more efficiently and preventing injury or pain.

 

Marissa is a mother of two young children, holds a 200hr Yoga Teaching accreditation, as well as Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, and is currently completing Pregnancy, Active Birth and Post-Natal Teacher Training.

 

She also runs Restorative Sound Immersion nights at Santosha on the second Friday of every second month – please check the Courses & Events page for dates.
