Edwina (fondly known as Eddie) is a Brisbane-based trauma sensitive yoga facilitator, trainer, counsellor, and social worker.   Edwina believes that connection to the body and breath through yoga can provide useful tools for people who have experienced trauma, and can ultimately be a part of their pathway to healing.  Edwina hopes to create an empowering space in which people can discover and practice yoga from the inside out. 

Edwina completed her initial 350 hour Level 1 yoga teacher training with the renowned Kate Pell and Dan Alder, and a subsequent 300 hour certification in Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) through the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts.  

In 2016, Edwina became a Licenced Trainer of the Trauma Center Yoga program and is the Queensland Director of TCTSY Australia.  Edwina also has a Masters in Social Work Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (Peace and Conflict Studies) with First Class Honours in International Relations. 

Eddie offers Friday morning Gentle Yoga classes. These are safe, trauma-informed, heart-nourishing classes, with no partner work with other students, or physical touch assists from the teacher - Eddie purposefully guides class from the front of the room only - you will be left to practise undisturbed on your own mat.
